Ziu Santoru and Oddoana

  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - Oddoana
  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - Ziu Santoru
The first two beaches you encounter after Cala Fuili are two small paradises where sand is not always present every year. Ziu Santoru and Oddoana can only be reached by small pleasure boats like our RIBs.

Cala Luna

  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - Cala Luna stagno
  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - cala luna alto
  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - grotte cala luna
Cala Luna, the most famous beach in the Gulf of Orosei, is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Its uniqueness lies in the scenery that surrounds the beach, surrounded by cliffs with the long canyon of Codula di Ilune and the river of the same name in the background. The caves in the northern part are another of its peculiarities and provide shelter during the hottest hours of the day. The emerald water color and the suitable seabed for snorkeling complete a heavenly picture that will give you moments of well-being.

Cala Sisine

  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - Cala Sisine
Just 10 minutes by boat from Cala Luna, heading south, you will find Cala Sisine. It is generated by the mouth of the river of the same name and is dominated by Punta Plumare, which with its imposing cliffs overlooking the sea, offers the beach a beautiful scenery.

Esuili and Cala Biriola

  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - Calettino
  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - Cala Biriola
  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - Biriola
Esuili and Cala Biriola are two beaches with very similar emerald reflections due to the presence of the forest that overlooks them and reflects its colors on the water. The seabed and the rocks that dive into the beach will give you perfect moments of snorkeling.

Piscine di Venere

Although not a beach in the Gulf of Orosei, we like to mention this body of water because the name “Piscine di Venere” (Venu’s Pools) was first used by Claudio Sorrenti, the founder of this company, in the late 1970s. The particularity of this heavenly corner, in addition to the color of the water, is due to the presence of numerous fish species that populate its seabed, especially the bream.

Cala Mariolu and Gabbiani

  • Spiagge del Golfo di Orosei - Ispuligidenie
Cala Mariolu and Cala Gabbiani are actually one beach divided by the promontory of Ispuligi. The name of the beach, Ispuligidenie, “snow fleas,” is due to the particular white gravel that makes up the shoreline of the two beaches. A stop at one of the two is a must during your trip to the Gulf of Orosei.

Sorgenti and Goloritzè

  • Spiagge del Golfo di Orosei - Sorgenti
  • Spiagge del Golfo di Orosei - Goloritzè
A fairy-tale scenario… The high pinnacles that overlook Cala Goloritzè with the spur of Aguglia acting as a tower. The rock arch, also called by the name of the beach. A series of springs that color the water a deep blue. This is the coast of Goloritzè. You can swim at anchor and reach the beach by swimming to enjoy one of the most beautiful moments of your vacation in Sardinia.

The fjords

  • Spiagge Golfo di Orosei - I fiordi
At the extreme end of the Gulf of Orosei, there are two small fjords that cut into the cliffs. In the southernmost one, called Cala Tramontana, you will find a small rocky cove. In the first fjord called Porto Cuau, you can see the wreck of the “Levante,” a cargo ship sunk in the 1970s at a depth of about 12 meters.

Do we need a boating license?

To rent a RIB from us, the only requirement is to be of legal age (18+). This applies to engines up to 40 HP, suitable for groups of up to 6 people. For higher-powered engines mounted on larger models, a boating license is required.

We have never used a motor RIB before, can we go out safely?

For those without experience, a brief course on how to use the RIB is included in the rental price. The outing will always be subject to marine weather conditions. If conditions are challenging, those who do not feel comfortable renting a RIB independently can opt for a guided tour in the Gulf of Orosei with a skipper.

How many people can fit on a single RIB?

RIBs, even the smaller ones, are approved for 8 people. However, the 40 horsepower engine, which doesn't require a license, doesn't allow for a load of more than 6 adults to navigate safely without straining the engine. For loads of more than 6 adults, we have higher-powered engines suitable for the purpose. For exclusive groups of up to 12 people, another option could be a guided excursion in the Gulf of Orosei with a skipper, so you won't have the responsibility for the vessel and can decide where to stop.

How many hours can we keep the RIB once rented?

RIB rental is for the whole day. You can leave between 8:30/9:00 in the morning and keep it until 17:00/17:30. Keep in mind that it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes of navigation to reach Cala Goloritzè, and there are many things to see. Time will fly by quickly among the wonders of the Gulf of Orosei.

Which beaches can we reach?

Navigation with rental boats is permitted south of Cala Gonone, with the furthest point being the beach of Cala Goloritzè. During the approximately 20-mile journey, you can discover, in order:

  • The coves of Ziu Santoru and Oddoana, just after Cala Fuili.
  • Cala Luna
  • Cala Sisine
  • Il Calettino
  • Cala Biriola
  • Cala Mariolu
  • Cala Gabbiani
  • Le Sorgenti
  • Cala Goloritzè

Navigation northward is not allowed for safety reasons, unless different agreements have been made before renting with our company.

Who can we contact in case of a breakdown?

Our telephone number is always available to provide assistance throughout the duration of the rental in the Gulf of Orosei. If the problem cannot be resolved over the phone, our skippers will always be available to assist you at sea if needed.

Do you offer rental with a skipper?

In addition to self-driving rental, you can opt for an exclusive excursion with a skipper. During this excursion, you can choose the stops and the duration of the outing together with the skipper. Alternatively, you can join a Gulf of Orosei charter excursion with other people, for a maximum of 12 participants plus the skipper. This latter option is recommended for those who want to discover the Gulf of Orosei for the first time, thanks to the experience of our skippers.
